Who is responsible?

Myrenget AS is the controller of personal information used to operate this website. For access, correction, deletion and other privacy questions, contact bergenstandup@bookinghaha.com.

Newsletter

We use your email address to send news about shows. We also record language, signup source, subscription status and signup-related timestamps. Subscribing is optional and relies on consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We cannot send the newsletter without an email address.

You can withdraw consent through a newsletter's unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Unsubscribing with the email provider stops delivery, and we do not override that opt-out if the same address is submitted again later. Unsubscribing does not automatically delete the entry in our subscriber register. Contact us if you also want that entry deleted, or if you want to subscribe again.

Show submissions and contact

We store your event information and any contact details you choose to provide. Contact name and email are optional and used to review your tip and ask follow-up questions. Public submissions are manually reviewed before publication. Contact fields are not published in the show listings.

If you email us, we use your sender address and message to respond. Handling submissions and enquiries relies on our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate programme and responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object and request information about the balancing assessment.

Public event, performer and organiser information may also come from organisers' and ticket providers' public pages. Please do not include sensitive information or private contact details in event descriptions.

Voluntary contributions

Stripe processes your payment. An email address, if provided, is used for receipts and payment follow-up and may be used for a thank-you message. We process the amount, payment status, payment references and language to complete and follow up your contribution (Article 6(1)(b)). Statutory accounting records are processed under Article 6(1)(c). This website does not receive your full card number.

Contributing does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter; you must choose that separately. We record completed follow-up to prevent duplicate emails or repeated subscription. Stripe provides its own privacy information during checkout.

Providers and website visits

We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for storage and Resend for newsletters and email when these features are enabled. Stripe handles payments. Upstash may receive your IP address (grouped for IPv6) and a pseudonymised email key for short-lived counters that limit form abuse. Submitted contact details are accessible to people who need them for operation and follow-up.

Hosting providers may process your IP address, request time, browser information and technical logs to deliver, troubleshoot and protect the service. This relies on our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Article 6(1)(f)). Some show images load directly from external providers, which therefore receive network information from your browser. Other images are delivered through this site's image service. Ticket and Facebook links lead to websites with their own privacy terms.

Administrator sign-in uses a necessary cookie. Language preferences are not stored in a cookie. The newsletter popup uses browser-tab session storage to remember that it has appeared during your visit; this does not subscribe you to the newsletter. We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated pageviews without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. The website does not include advertising pixels. Stripe may use its own cookies on its checkout page.

Providers may process information outside the EEA. Contact us for the countries and transfer arrangements applicable to your information and a copy of relevant safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Subscriber and submission records currently have no automatic expiry date. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery with the email provider; deletion from the subscriber register is handled manually. Removing optional contact details from submissions is also a manual process. Contact us to request deletion.

Contact details are assessed separately from public event information and the history needed to prevent hidden or rejected events from being republished. Payment records may need to be retained under accounting rules. We explain limitations and continued retention in our response. You can also contact us about information retained in email, operational logs and backups.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion or restriction. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. For information you provided that is processed automatically based on consent or contract, you may also have a right to data portability.

Send your request to the contact address above. We may ask for information needed to verify whose records the request concerns. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, if you believe your information is processed contrary to the rules.
